Diy portable chicken run-last saturday was awesomely productive and we got this puppy built, moved to the shanty, and put all of the hens and chicks together.the chicks had been living in an upside-down watermelon box for weeks and were excited to have something new.. This run is awful. my husband and i built it as specified thinking it would solve our chicken run needs. unfortunately, it has proved to be an incredibly frustrating problem we combat every evening. because the run is not connected to the coop, one has to catch and carry the chickens in between the run and coop..
